Last month, we welcomed our newest addition to the AM team. Knowledgeable and organised, Ez joins the company with over a decade of international experience. We’re super glad to have him on board as our Project Manager – for more about him, read below…

Welcome to the team! How has life been at AccountancyManager so far?

It’s been really good! It’s my third week now and I’ve settled in so well. Everyone is really warm and cordial so it’s a very positive working environment. Every morning I look forward to coming back to the office.

What’s your background?

I’m a certified Scrum Master and a project management practitioner. I grew up in Africa and worked there for about 10 years before moving to the UK. I’m also currently enrolled as a Global MBA student at the University of London so apart from work, I also have study commitments towards my degree, which I should be finishing by the middle of next year.

Where in Africa did you work?

I’m originally from Nigeria, but the last place I worked in Africa was the United Bank for Africa (UBA). The bank has presence in 20 African countries so I was privileged enough to work across various countries over a period of 4 years: NIgeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone…

What are your hobbies and interests?

Apart from reading, I love going to the gym. I like to run – I think it keeps me focused. I also like to watch horror TV shows!

Tell us a bit about what brings you to AccountancyManager.

What attracted me to AccountancyManager was the fact that I believe I can learn so much by working alongside the founders…when there was an opportunity for me to come on board, I had no doubt in my mind that this is an organisation that I want to work for. The next decade looks to be really great for AccountancyManager and I just want to be a part of the journey.

First impression of our software?

The software is amazing. As someone with an accountancy background, it’s just a wonderful tool for accounting practices to have. It gives you the opportunity to do so much and requires little effort to manage and organise your client base.

Since coming on board, I’ve also had the opportunity to gain an insight into the workings of our software. Like every other business, there is still room for growth and the potential here is huge.

You’ve joined the company at a very pivotal moment. What are you hoping to achieve here with us?

I hope to build on the past and present successes of the company. I want to see our product roadmap achieved – I’ve been working closely with the development team to ensure that they are on track with releasing new features. Another part of what I’ve been doing is making sure that our processes are streamlined and well-documented across all of AM’s departments.

What excites you about AccountancyManager?

What’s exciting is the prospect of where the organisation could end up in the short term and how big the software can become. The more users we have, the better we’ll be. But right now, it’s great that we’re in a position to help as many accounting firms and practices as possible.

What message do you have for our users?

The message is simple and straightforward: whatever you’ve seen now as users is just the tip of the iceberg! We’re currently working on some mind-blowing functionalities and features that will improve the experience for our users…. so watch this space.
